Oct 2006 - Pausing presentations - black or white screen?

This month's Tip works on PowerPoint. I don't think I've sent one that only works on PowerPoint before. So let me know how useful it is for you.

Have you ever been part way through a PowerPoint presentation and wanted to stop the slide show for a moment? Well, here's what you can do…

If you press the B key on the keyboard you get a black screen and if you press B again you will resume the presentation. Magic, eh?

If you don't like the black screen you can press the W key and get a white screen. Pressing W again will resume the presentation. The white screen will look better if you're projecting onto a white background.

However, don't get carried away. I'm sorry to say that R will not turn the screen red, neither will G turn it green. And if you press P you will not get a gorgeous shade of pink, you will just get the previous slide. (N will get you the next one.)
