Reply to All in Microsoft Outlook
Thanks for your feedback last month. I now understand that the clever ones amongst you don’t bother to tell me every month that they know the Tip or Trick. They only tell me when they don’t know it! So last month I impressed two clever ones! This month I suspect most of you will already know the tip so I will impress no-one! But here goes…
Have you ever noticed in Outlook, you are given choices of what to do with your emails received? You can Reply, Reply to All or Forward.
Reply will, as you know, reply to the sender and put Re: in front of the subject.
Forward will allow you to pass on the email to another address and will put Fw: in front of the subject.
Reply to All will send a reply to everyone on the circulation list. This is very useful if an email is sent to a number of people for their comments or availability. However you need to make a decision about whether or not your reply needs to be sent to everyone. So use this with care!
For those who use Bcc (for blind copies) the Reply to All will not be sent to any Bcc addresses.
